A tangled detective story is about to unfold. Inspector Hale and Detective Crane are on the trail of a mysteriously vanished professor of history and archaeology who also happens to be Crane’s old friend. Professor Eldridge was always a touch eccentric, but disappearing without a word and leaving his office turned upside down was never part of his habits. He’s clearly in trouble and in need of help.
